It’s that time again, Figma News Fridays! The weather this week was absolutely crazy. Monday there were snow flurries, and now on Friday, I’m wearing sandals. But the trees are beginning to bloom, and hopefully the warm weather is here to stay. We have some wonderful blossoms in the figma world as well including one preorder and two releases that I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. So let’s get started!

Akane Isshiki Preorders Begin

The first figma from Vividred Operation is here…Akane Isshiki! Akane comes with three faces. Two to express her joy and another for a bad day, but the most exciting accessory is her bike which has been perfectly shrunk down into figma scale. Akane retails for 3810 yen and will be available in August.

My my, Akane, those are some tight shorts. Akane is cute, and her super happy face is adorable, but as with many recent figmas, I do not know her character and will subsequently be passing. I do have to mention that she reminds me of Nessa from the anime version of Fractale though. That bike is pretty neat as well, I believe she’s the first figma to come with a vehicle.

Ultimate Madoka Released

Yippee! Mine has been shipped, so my review will be up in a few weeks.

Saber Bride Released

Finally! I’ve been waiting for this Saber for a year, so I’m really happy to be getting her. I’m also looking forward to those lovely limited edition goodies!

And that wraps up this week! For this next week, I’m on spring break, so hopefully I’ll be able to finish up some of those reviews I have waiting. It’s Friday, are you ready for your figma news? Then it’s time for Figma News Fridays! This week we have a release, a preorder, and some news on figmas we haven’t seen since Wonderfestival. Oddly, everything interesting occurred on Friday, so let’s get started!

Sonico…Delayed?

Well this is certainly an odd turn of events. Tuesday, Max Factory updated with sample photos of Sonico and declared her release date to be March 30th. And although all seemed well, Goodsmile Company has now posted a notice stating that serious defects were found during Sonico’s final inspection, and she will now be delayed until May. A two month delay is serious business, and I can’t help but be reminded of the Snow Miku fiasco. Still, Max Factory has proven to be competent, so all we can do is wait.

Hayate Yagami The 2nd Movie A’s ver. Preorders Begin

Hayate Yagami is making her appearance as the third figma from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 2nd A’s. Hayate is equipped with her magical device and book to allow her to fight alongside Fate and Nanoha. Also included is an alternate head so she can be displayed with either hair color. Hayate retails for 3619 yen and will be released in July.

This is actually the second figma of Hayate. The first depicted her more grown up, and was figma #26! I’m not a Nanoha fan, so I’ll be passing, but it’s nice that Hayate is able to get an updated figure!

Futayo Honda Previewed

Futayo is making her first appearance since Wonderfestival, and still isn’t painted. The most noticeable changes I see are that super long spear and the suspected September release date.

Akane Isshiki Previewed

Akane is making her triumphant return and now has a few accessories to show off. In addition to two new faces, it looks like Akane will be coming with her bike. The bike looks great, although I wonder how much it will increase the price. And if the bike really is included, this will be the first figma to come with a vehicle of some kind. She’s so scheduled for August.
