It snowed this weekend, so I took a few shots of figures who I thought would look nice in the semi frosty(I didn’t get out until a good bit had melted) wonderland.
I keep photographing Tsurumaru in front of white things, but it’s good contrast, so JUST TRY TO STOP ME.
The last wrap up was scales, and now we’re looking at some nendos!
Another Savannah trip picture >_< I think these are the last of them.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a loot post hasn’t it?
Usually I compile all of my goodies with figures into a single loot post. However this summer, I received many things when my room was a total mess from redecorating. Rather than trying to get all of those things together again, I’ll refer to that batch as “The Lost Loot”, and just move on to my most recent loot batch which is this one! Those other items will pop up in reviews eventually anyway.
Moving on, these are my items from June and July!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a post like this, and seeing how large my preorder list has grown, and how many non-figmas are on it, I thought now would be a good time to take a look at my preorders for this year so far!
Is it even a surprise that I ordered her? Mickey, Minnie, Marvel, and Star Wars characters have been made into nendoroids, but Frozen is the first Disney property I’ve been interested in figures from. Probably because Elsa is one of the Disney Princesses(well, Queens) which is doubtlessly one of Disney’s most popular and dear character lines. There are some stylistic choices I question with Elsa’s nendoroid transformation, but I’ll address those properly in my inevitable review.
Elsa is scheduled for release in May which puts her in my first batch of figures in a long time!
Today I am finally writing a post which I have been wanting to finish and share with you all for a very long time!
This doll project was different from my others in that I decided to keep the details secret and share everything at the end instead of piece by piece like with Celeste and Kanade’s projects. Pictures were taken over a year, and some are even from my cellphone. Not all progress shots look good, but the ones that matter do!
Perhaps you have heard of Frozen. It is the movie that has essentially invaded the world and flooded everyone’s minds with the song that we dare not speak of. As with most popular movies, I did not watch Frozen until it came out on DVD, so I was surprisingly unaware of the phenomenon it had become. But one thing which caught my eye before seeing the movie was Disney’s Classic dolls of Elsa and Anna. I spotted them in a video by My Froggy Stuff who reviewed the deluxe set which includes the two sisters and both dresses they wear in the movie. Both dolls looked cute and well made, and I was surprised by how much they resembled the on-screen characters. I quickly searched for the dolls and found that they were long sold out and very hard to find thanks to Frozen’s popularity. I put the dolls out of my mind until I saw the movie, after which I decided to at least pursue Elsa who had become my favorite.
Devoted searching led me to pay a lot, but not too much for an Elsa on Ebay.
A while back I decided not to post loot unless there was at least one figure. Thanks to year end delays, this has left with quite a few combination posts. This post covers everything I got from August to November!
Remember last week when I said I would write a followup Wonderfestival post about the other figures I was interested in? Well, now I finally have time for that! Not many non figmas captured my eye this time(which I prefer), but there are some notable things to look forward to. Also, the figure I’m most excited about this time happens to not even be a figma! So let’s take a look at my personal favorite non figma figures from Wonderfestival!
The photo shoots I post usually consist of photos taken to be displayed as a group, but this time I have pictures that were taken at different times and are coming together for this post. But there is one theme which unites them: spring!
I’ll work in chronological order.
First are a few pictures of Elsa. I sadly missed the snow with her, but spring flowers compliment anyone and work well for the transition from the harshness of winter to gentleness of spring.
The loot is here once again!
And for anyone interested, my Pokémon X journey is going fabulously. I currently have 6 badges and just bought my trainer a cute pink dress in Anistar city. I love being able to change outfits which might be a problem since I’m tempted to do it almost every day. I even changed my trainer into a coat to ride Mamoswine through the snow. Were the Global Sync server not undergoing maintenance at the moment, I’d be sharing pictures as well.
There have also been some changes to my team. I now have: Jolteon(Pippa), Flygon(Pandora), Delphox(Inari), Venusaur(Midori), Azumarill(Blueberry), and Mienfoo(Mutton). Kalos has a phenomenal selection of Pokémon that are accessible throughout your Pokémon journey. In previous regions it felt like there were only a few good Pokémon to catch along the way and all others were merely to fill space in the Pokedex or for you to use until you reached those good Pokémon. But in Kalos, I found that there were infinite possibilities for my team and was often upset that I’d filled a particular spot in so early. I do not want to rush the game, but I am really looking forward to training a competitive team and taking on some other trainers. I’ll definitely be IV training the best Gardevoir that I can. By the way, did you know that Gardevoir is Yami Usagi’s favorite Pokémon? Because it is.
As for this month’s loot, it was another goodie filled one with not a figure in sight. Here’s everything:
Disney Classic Elsa, Shrine Maiden costume, Pink Round Toe Strap Shoes, Asuna Earphone Jack, and Goodsmile Kuji Miku tote.
