Before I say anything, I want to thank you for visiting my blog. Setting it up was a challenge since in spite of all the time I spend using the computer, I’ve yet to learn how to properly use it.
Anyway, I’ll start off with a little about me. I’m not very good at writing self-introductions, but I’ll do the best I can. And if you want to know more about me, don’t be afraid to ask!
About me
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Hello! I’m Yami Usagi. I am a freshman in college and have been collecting figures since early 2010. Although I technically got my first figure in September of ’09, I consider the beginning of my figure craziness to be five months later when I got my first figma. In short, I love figmas. They’re pretty much everything I look for in a toy(well not everyone would call them “toys” since they’re not for children, but that’s how I use them, so that’s what I’ll call them). The articulation and lovely sculpts are just what I like, so I focus my collection mostly on them. Although I have now expanded my interests to include dolls, scaled figures, and nendoroids, figmas are still my favorite thing to collect.
But owning the figures is only half the fun! My favorite part of this hobby is photographing my figures in any crazy way I can think of.
Before discovering figures, I actually wanted to be an artist. I tried this for about a year and am a decent artist, but it’s clearly not my calling. Photography has widened my horizons much more and doesn’t frustrate me nearly as much.
Aside from figures and photography, I’m also interested in Japan. I’d like to study Japanese when the time comes and would LOVE to visit one day.
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
That wasn’t so bad was it? Honestly, I dislike writing about myself since self introductions always sound so much better in my head.
Now let’s get to something more interesting. You’re probably wondering,”What’s with the cow?”. Well, you’re about to find out.
About Sunny the Cow
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Sunny(pictured below) is the mascot of this blog and for my photos in general.
Sunny can be seen most easily as my icon, but this is not the only place you will see Sunny. He occasionally pops up in a comic. Here’s an example(taken from Pokemon Comics Part 1):
Sunny can be awfully mischievous, so be on the lookout for him!
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
And now for the last “About”. About my purpose for this blog.
This Blog’s Purpose
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
There are plenty of long standing blogs dedicated to figure and anime news that I can’t catch up with–so I’ll leave that to them. I want to use this blog to post all of my photos and comics along with my opinions of the newest figmas, but mostly to have fun. I’ve never done something like this before, so I have alot to learn. Hopefully it’ll be an enjoyable experience for me and you, so thanks for coming along for the ride! =)

I’m a fan of your blog, I love to read it! As you enjoy taking photographs of pose-able figures, I was curious if you ever heard of Pullips, since they seem to suit your hobby!

Yay! I’m so happy you enjoy reading! That encourages me to write more ^^
I have actually, but Pullip faceups don’t quite suit me–I prefer the styles of Pureneemos and Dolfies. I have to stick with figures though, just having one doll totally mangled my savings. XD
