Welcome to Figma News Friday on *sky darkens* Black Friday. I’ve somehow bought nothing which is good because I preordered a figma, paid for an order, and bought some cosplay supplies this week, and that’s enough for me.
This week had plenty to look at with magazine scans, a preorder, releases, and more, so let’s get started!

Is it me, or was this reveal early? Here’s the winning winter sports Miku design fully sculpted and painted !
I love it! Those twisty pigtails and the gradient on them are amazing!
Her face reminds me of the Miku you see in concerts!
This will make for some amazing action shots!
So far we see Miku with her hat, scarf, skii accesories, Yukine, and one face. We can expect at least one other face, so I wonder what it will be!

Shirou Emiya 2.0 Preorders Begin
From the anime series ‘Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]’ comes a figma 2.0 of the main character, Shirou Emiya!
- Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
- Certain joints use drawer-type articulation allowing for much more exciting action poses.
- He comes with a cheerful smiling expression, a shouting expression for combat and a condescending expression.
- Optional parts include his school bag, slipper parts, an enhanced steel pipe and a right hand with magic circuits.
- The twin blades, Kanshou and Bakuya are also both included.
- An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.
- Shirou retails for 5370 yen and is scheduled for a May 2016 release

I swear GSC is out to get me. Not only do I have a convention in May; I now have five figures including a scale! If only there was something called limiting yourself!
Shirou 2.0 has been needed for a long time. The original has been pricey for years and the sculpt is very dated, yet Saber was the only character ever updated. But finally Shirou’s turn has come, and he looks amazing~ The sculpt is vastly improved, and I’m happy to see a wider range of emotion compared to the original who did not fully capture Shirou’s character with its faces in my opinion.
Then there’s that bonus! That blasted bonus! I was so excited to get Shirou that I preordered from my usual shop right away without checking for a bonus. I would have gotten the scarf too! *rages*

Never Outgrew Toys 
I’m stoked for Shirou. I also pre-ordered without the scarf. This happened to me with the original Shirou too where I missed out on the rare exclusive (winter campaign). I believe that special came with both the casual Saber and original Shirou but I never ended up getting one. I’m not too picky about it though but this scarf would have been awesome to apply to other figma. I’m still waiting on a release date to be confirmed for the new Berserk Figma (the God hand). I honestly love the Berserk manga, and I feel like those figma’s are going to be awesome. I actually don’t think the figma’s are the most accurate I’ve seen or even the best looking; however, I think they will make an awesome set because they are creepy and have a different feel to them than any other figma i’ve owned before. In fact, from the looks of it…figma Slan actually has nipples
and will be the first 18+ figma ever if so. That in itself, is a very different approach from Max Factory…let alone the dark style of these figma’s (the God hand). Random rant!

You mean the scarf and mitten sets? Those were actually included with all figmas released during the campaign! I managed to get three sets from HLJ unexpectedly. They did one with headphones too. Never got the Santa set though.
I miss when MF did those things, but figmas are popular enough that they don’t have to now…
Those have been in development for a long time now! I suppose they’re low priority. The Godhand is actually being made by FREEING who has a lot of weird figmas under their belt…too many lol. I think they’ll be very cool though!

Aw lucky you @ the scarf and mitten sets! Ya I did not get those sadly. I saw the santa one with Saber I believe but didn’t purchase :(. Figma’s are soo popular now. Especially because of anime’s such as Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, and now One Punch Man which are “too popular” in my opinion. Literally 50% of all cosplayers I see these days are attack on titan …I miss diversity. Most of them haven’t seen many anime series and claim Attack on Titan is the greatest of all time. It gets frustrating at times, but that’s just a minor pet peeve I have.
As for the Godhand, you are correct! I was totally mistaken. That makes a lot more sense with FREEING doing it. Although, this is still interesting news as it is in fact the first time any Figma will have nipples o_O. To be honest, the real reason I’m excited for the God Hand is it increases the chance of them releasing a Skull Knight figure (my second favourite character in Berserk next to Guts). Skull Knight looks beautiful, and a figma of him would be amazing for my collection!

Haha yeah! Once someone told me that AOT wasn’t mainstream, and I was like “Have you ever been to a con?”.
There’s always something new and mainstream. AOT and One Punch Man I think deserve some hype though for being good, just not that much. SAO on the other hand…
There are a lot of Berserk figmas! May your wish come true ^^

Haha ya…it’s unreal how popular AoT is and OPM now. OPM will skyrocket to AoT status once it gets dubbed. This upcoming year will be amazing for anime fans though! So many freaking anime series getting continuations and prequels o__o….it’s unreal. Some examples are Attack on Titan, D-Gray Man (finally LOL), Fairy Tail (prequel), Berserk, Seven Deadly Sins, Hibike! Euphonium, Magi, Koyomimonogatari, Accel World, Assassination Classroom, Danganronpa, Arslan Senki, Durarara (Final series), Yowamushi Pedal and tons more! This upcoming year will probably be my favourite anime-wise in ages. Hell, I’m even super excited for the Itachi anime series (totally the best Naruto character). Plus Mob Psycho 100 (same writer as One Punch Man) will be amazing and probably blow up as well.

Woah! That sounds awesome! I’m crazy behind, but even I know the titles. I bowed out of the anime scene back when the second season of Durarara came out, but a lot of other things I liked were getting sequels all at once, and it looks like that’s still happening! *sigh* I hope we get a third season for Magi once the manga finishes. It’s almost over. I’m kind of sad.
